MY STORY
I'm Gilmara Hall — born in São Paulo, Brazil, and raised in Feira de Santana, in the state of Bahia, where color and rhythm are simply part of the air.
Painting found me during the deepest season of my faith. What began as a quiet gift from God became a calling I couldn't set down, and it's carried me through over 20 years of painting since. Along the way I've exhibited my work in Germany, Mexico, and Madeira Island in Portugal, before putting down roots here in the United States.
Every canvas I paint carries a piece of that journey: the warmth of Bahia, the color of the places I've lived, and the joy I hope to pass on to anyone who stops to look.
